Vacuum plating

Electroplating is the process of using electrolysis to deposit metal or alloy on the surface of the workpiece to form a uniform, dense and well bonded metal layer. Electroplating of plastic products has the following uses:

L) corrosion protection

L) protective decoration

L) wear resistance

L electrical properties: provide conductive or insulating coatings according to the working requirements of parts

Vacuum aluminum plating is to heat and melt the aluminum metal to evaporation under vacuum, and the aluminum atoms condense on the surface of polymer materials to form an extremely thin aluminum layer. Vacuum aluminizing of injection parts is widely used in the field of automotive lamps.

Requirements for vacuum aluminized substrate

(1) The surface of the base material is smooth, flat and uniform in thickness.

(2) Stiffness and friction coefficient are appropriate.

(3) The surface tension is greater than 38dyn / cm ‘.

(4) It has good thermal performance and can withstand the heat radiation and condensation heat of the evaporation source.

(5) The moisture content of the substrate is less than 0.1%.

(6) The commonly used thermoplastics of aluminized substrate include polyester (PET), polypropylene (PP), polyamide (n), polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), PC, PC / ABS, Pei, thermosetting material BMC, etc.

Purpose of vacuum plating:

1. Increase reflectivity:

After the plastic reflective cup is coated with primer, it is vacuum coated to deposit a layer of aluminum film on the surface, so that the reflective cup can achieve and have a certain reflectivity.

2. Beautiful decoration:

Vacuum aluminizing film can make the injection molded parts with single color have metal texture and achieve high decorative effect.
